Frankincense & Rose Salve

Benefits: Supports aging skin and skin elasticity.  Calming to the skin, mind and emotions.

Aroma: Woodsy, sweet, floral, light.

Ingredients: Organic Coconut MCT Oil, Frankincense Resin (Boswellia sacra), Pacific Northwest Beeswax, Love & Well Wishes

Directions: Apply a small amount to desired area and gently massage into skin.  Gentle enough to use on your face and delicate skin.

Frankincense and Rose are a beautiful pair that have been traditionally used together in many formulas for skincare and energetic balancing.  Cosmetically, frankincense is known to support aging skin, rejuvenation, and skin elasticity.  Its scent is calming, grounding, and encourages feelings of peace. Combined with rose infused oil, which cools and calms the skin, this salve is one of our favorite products to use on our faces for soft, supple, and glowing skin.  It is also a lovely salve to use around your heart to support emotional and spiritual grounding, centering, and balancing.

For those who are familiar with the recent studies reporting on the benefits of Boswellic acids and its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, it is important to note that these acids reside in the resin portion of Frankincense only and are unable to be extracted into the essential oil.  This frankincense salve was created using the whole oleo-gum-resin to extract both the volatile oils and the resin portion, which is easily dissolved into oil.  Frankincense essential oil has many other benefits, but it is simply not a good source of Boswellic acid.
