While herbs are often thought of and used in terms of topical and internal applications, aromatherapy and inhalation have their own unique set of benefits as well. Herbal Inhalers are wildly popular in Thailand (where they are known as Yadom) and are traditionally used to support a wide variety of conditions, including congestion, headache, mental fog, and more.
This "Forest" blend is made with a traditional Thai base formula, but from there I have veered off and added some of my favorite tree medicines from the west: douglas fir, piñon pine resin, juniper berry, and cedar leaf. The woodsy aroma invokes a feeling of calm and peace, like a fall hike through the trees on a crisp afternoon and breathing in fresh, clean forest air. This is an excellent choice for supporting emotional balance and promoting relaxation.
Herbal inhalers are small, compact, and are meant to be carried with you on the go to use as needed throughout the day. Breathing in the aroma of crushed spices soaked in menthol and camphor is a heavenly afternoon pick me up! It helps clear out physical and mental congestion, helping you feel lighter and more at ease.
All of our herbal inhalers use the same base formula of spices, which give them all a similar base aroma. For each variation, I add a few special ingredients to make it unique and offer slightly different benefits.
